All-Star Converse Shoes – Designed for Eternity

Chuck Taylor`s All-Star Converse shoe Celebrates first 100 years in 2017.

In 1917, the company designed the forerunner of the modern Converse All-Star shoe. At first, they are made of the rubber sole and canvas upper in natural brown colors.

Firstly based in Malden, Massachuttes Converse Rubber Shoe Company is the first one to use professional athletes in marketing and sales endorsement. It was Charles- Chuck Taylor;  basketball player, whose name is added on ankle patch in 1934.

The first white All-Star Converse model was introduced at the 1936 Olympics

Throughout the years, Converse Chuck Taylor All Star made a shift from athletic sportswear to casual footwear. Originally it was an elite basketball shoe which evolved into the shoe of choice for many subcultures, particularly artists and musicians.
